Our Story
I started Navvia because I’ve lived the challenges most international students face — and I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to settle into a new country, especially when it comes to finding a place to live.
While I’m based in Melbourne, I’ve met countless students through my professional work and personal life who’ve shared their struggles: applying for rentals without knowing the system, being ghosted by agents, or simply not knowing who to trust while they were still overseas. Many relied on luck or last-minute solutions — often ending up in uncomfortable or overpriced situations that could have been avoided with the right support.
Navvia was born out of a simple idea: what if someone could act as a bridge between the student and the confusing world of the Australian rental market? Someone who understands both sides — the cultural expectations of incoming students and the practical requirements of agents and landlords?
I combined my experience in real estate, my background in local government, and my passion for helping others into something tangible. Navvia isn’t just a business — it’s a mission to make international relocation feel less like a risk and more like an exciting first step.
Today, I offer support at every stage of the student journey: from virtual inspections and application help to pre-arrival checklists and move-in guidance. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, informed, and confident in their new home — no matter where they’re coming from.
Navvia is here to make that happen.
